Why hello...

So if  you've been to this blog more than 5 minutes, you can probably guess that I LOVE photography AND that Jimmy and I have been working really hard to get Courtney Griffin Photography up and running.

I can tell you with certainty, I would not/could not be pursuing this dream without the support of my husband.  He has been so great in helping me make business decisions and in encouraging my creativity.  Business is really going great so far.  It is a LOT more work than I realized going in, but I am SO up for the challenge!  Last week I got a new camera and fell in l-o-v-e w!! It is amazing.  [see picture below for proof]

Jimmy went with me to take engagement pictures of a gorgeous couple in Bryan on Saturday.  They were SO in love with each other--I don't think there were any bad pictures [and I took 1,000].  The hardest part of that shoot will be narrowing down the good ones.  While in town we shared a meal with some dear friends of ours, Josh and D'ann, and then went on our FIRST CAMPING TRIP!!  It was really more of a MINI-camping trip because all we did was set up the tent and sleep, but still--we camped.  It was SO. MUCH. FUN.  It was hands down, the most fun weekend we've had since our wedding.  I know Jimmy agreed, because he told me at least 3 times that he had so much fun with me this weekend.  What made it fun was not only spending quality time together, but seeing each other in our element.  For me--it was photography and getting to know a new couple and investing in their relationship.  For Jimmy--being outside and making a home out of God's creation energizes him.  That, my friends, is a recipe for one heck of a weekend.
