Dear Laundry Fairy/Santa Claus...

...aka Husband, Thank you SO much for surprising me with folded laundry this morning and for doing the one chore we both HATE!! I am so blessed by your servant's heart and this act of grace. Also-thank you for leaving me a sweet note in my stocking the other day. How did I get so lucky to be your wife?

Last night was our first and last Christmas party for Jimmy's current employer. Everyone I met kept telling me how awesome Jimmy is and how sad they will be to lose him when we move to Houston. I was oh.so.proud. We didn't take any photos last night, so in lieu of party pics--how about a look at our festive Christmas door? Do you like the wreath I made? I found the idea for the wreath from my friend Erika's blog, and from Etsy--and wanted to replicate it myself. I am very grateful the Lord blessed me with a creative spirit. I saved $20+ by making it myself and had a BLAST doing it! Crafts make my heart go pitter patter almost as much as my hot husband!

What we've been up to . . .

Thank you Erin for reminding me to update our blog!

Since our last update . . .

We had an ah-ma-zing Thanksgiving full of fried turkey, family, and friends (and 4 burned pumpkin pies, thanks to yours truly)!! Our first Thanksgiving as a married couple was so much fun! I am so thankful for my husband and what we are learning in our first year of marriage.

Poor Meredith was sick on Thanksgiving...but she has been crocheting some awesome things! Her etsy shop is in the works! :)

Once we got back to Dallas, we decorated for our FIRST CHRISTMAS as a married couple. Since our lease is up in January, we were not going to do too much to our apartment for Christmas. But, as you know, Christmas cheer is contagious so we could not instill the minimalist policy to our decor this year! :)

And we rang in my 23rd year with a special dinner at Del Frisco's (thank you Princes!). Jimmy went out of his way to make sure I had a fantastic pre-birthday weekend and a great day on the 6th! (side note: Dallas may have gotten to my hair already--can we say "BIG TEXAS HAIR" in this pic?)
