5 MONTHS!!

I have fallen back into my old blogging ways.  The lack of posts is in no way a reflection of quiet times in the Griffin house.  We went to Houston to celebrate 6 different birthdays!! I shot my first wedding the other day with a photographer friend of mine, and we had 4 overnight guests in our tiny one bedroom apartment last weekend!!  Earlier this week we celebrated THANKSGIVING with our Foundations group and had a turkey dinner.  But not just any turkey dinner--a FRIED TURKEY DINNER!!! It was AH-MA-ZING!!  My job was to make the cornbread dressing and blueberry jello.  I also ended up making pumpkin bars and wassail.  My poor mom--I must have called her 15 times to make sure I was making the dressing right.  [Sorry mom!]  It ended up being a great night with a LOT of great food!!
Foundations Group: Tim & Emily Loerke, Brady & Denae Miles, Paul & Meredith Terrell, Robby & Lauren Findley, [us], and Stephanie & Jonathan Tyroch!
With our niece Leila and J's sister Laurie at the park::Laurie opening all 10 seasons of FRIENDS for her BDAY! :)

Jimmy and I got married 5 months ago from today!! In honor of our 5 month anniversary, we came up with some of the 5 greatest things about marriage.  Here they are:

[1] Taking one car
[2] Always having someone to talk to [no more awkwardness at events where you don't know anyone!]
[3] Knowing someone's always got your back [food in my teeth?!]
[4] Someone to always laugh at the bad jokes we make [I actually think his jokes are funny--I'm not pretending to laugh!]
[5] Full-time accountability partner-all day, every day!

And the funniest moment of marriage so far?  (And so I don't forget how much fun learning to live with a boy-roommate is...)  After having searched high and low for the nozzle that goes on the end of my hairdryer to no avail, I found it one day when I was picking up the closet... my sweet husband saw a black nozzle and assumed that it went to the shop vac his groomsmen gave him as a wedding present.  Male readers may not find this very funny, but I'm sure the ladies will agree.  I thought it was just about the cutest thing ever, and after I stopped laughing I gave him the biggest "I love you" bear hug ever!
